My first C-mint coin arrived today - post something Charlotte

For the last few months I have wanted to add a XF-AU, original Charlotte $2.50 to my collection. Nothing in the FUN auctions fit the bill.
When this 1852-C appeared in a prominent dealer's inventory on Saturday morning I knew I found my first C-mint coin. It arrived today (cross continent via USPS Express Mail in 24 hours!) just before the storm hit the Northeast.

As a new resident of North Carolina, I have been looking for a C mint eagle or quarter eagle. No luck so far, but you found a nice one.

John, its likely I checked the Inventory just after that coin posted. Even then I fretted I was too late.

This is all I've ever owned.
I've been to the Mint Museum in Charlotte, though- and the one in Dahlonega as well.
My numismatic friends will probably burn me at the stake for saying this, but I was actually much more taken with some of the paintings and other exhibits at the Charlotte museum than I was with the coins. Seeing a whole set of Charlotte gold all laid out was attractive, and interesting for a few minutes, but not the adrenaline rush I was expecting it to be. When it came to gold coins in the museum, I was far more impressed with the British Queen Anne 5-guinea piece they had on display. I guess that's just the Darksider in me.
Thanks to all for sharing their Charlotte ladies...
