I couldn't wait until Friday :-)

I got a small shipment in from Provident today. Its an Austrian gold Ducat, a bit of a break from the Franc pieces I usually buy. I am impressed by the level of intricate detail on this piece. Judging from my difficulty photographing it, however, the fields are neither flat nor symmetrical. I also purchased $1 in Walkers and $4 in Franklins to even out my 90% rolls.

I really like these pieces. They're about 1/10th of an ounce, but they're thin so their diameter is bigger than say a 1/10th eagle. They look and feel more substantial.

But if you like the 1 ducat, you gotta get you some 4 ducats! image

I agree with you, Ducats are very nice and neat...and big compared to the 1/10 oz.
Wow, I didn't notice last time that the 4 Ducats are the size of a Morgan!
