    I'm guessing that the amount of personal data, coupled with the calls for basically harrassing the guy. was too much for the mods to tolerate.

    I can understand that.
    Is there a way we could start a thread that could be used as a warning to board members as to who what shady ethics on eBay?

    Maybe, but as a guy who has owned a forum or two, I can assure you that allowing potentially actionable stuff to go unchecked opens the owner up for a piece of the trouble. Nothing was forthcoming as a result of all the posts: the seller will keep selling, the buyers will keep buying, and the complaints will continue. All the calls for action had become nothing more than empty rabble-rousing.
