  • Wow that is ugly, I just don't understand why they don't put a little more effort into those things.

That is such BS. These companies are now charging a lot of money for a friggin pack ... they should at least put out a good looking product. Doran, you put those card companies to shame!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • At least a Pro Set card just went up many times in value because of that ugly cut. UD has even cut up one of their own past autographed inserts and then made it a "cut" which makes it more valuable. I should do the same and make my collection's value go up.

  • Wait till they do "Booklet Cuts"......they just take a piece of canvas and glue two "cut cards made of cut outs"(like above) , one on each side, fold it, stamp...no pen it a 1/1 ....and you have a $2000 card.

While I agree that it is a butt-ugly card, I think a lot of people tend to forget one of the primary advantages that Doran and Knuckles have over some of the card companies. I might be mistaken, but I doubt that Doran and Knuckles pay royalties or licensing fees for the pictures and emblems they use. Therefore, they are able to incorporate a lot of things into their designs, that someone that is selling a commercial product cannot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Doran or Knuckles, as a matter of fact Doran has done several for me. Litigious hungry current celebs, has beens, and still have its, make it difficult on some of the card companies from time to time. Here's an example:
