40% quarter melt values - not anywhere to be found

I am looking at Coinflation and other sites which offer melt values and the 40% quarter is not listed.

Is anyone else worried about this obvious miscarriage of justice?! image

I'll give you 30 cents for them.

    Exactly 1/2 of a 40% half.

OK, you drive a hard bargain. 35 cents.

  • Coinflation, select 1 65-70 40% Kennedy half and divide by 2. Please post questions if you have problems with the complicated mathimage

Few people would care about the melt value of a 1 year type/1 year metal content coin. Promoters are always buying these at hefty premiums over melt.

This is true - however, I cannot simply double the price of a 40% half to get the price of a 40% Ike - it is close though.

Thanks, though, for the help on the math - I are a good student.. image

Doesn't work. The 40% halves have a lower gross weight than the 90% halves.

According to the Redbook, P. 171, the 40% Bicentennial quarters contain 0.0739 oz. pure silver.
