I am looking at Coinflation and other sites which offer melt values and the 40% quarter is not listed.
Is anyone else worried about this obvious miscarriage of justice?!

The only way to make an economic system truly stable is to permit the free market to take over.

Few people would care about the melt value of a 1 year type/1 year metal content coin. Promoters are always buying these at hefty premiums over melt.
Thanks, though, for the help on the math - I are a good student..

Doesn't work. The 40% halves have a lower gross weight than the 90% halves.
According to the Redbook, P. 171, the 40% Bicentennial quarters contain 0.0739 oz. pure silver.
