Gold Nuggets

anyone here collect or buy gold nuggets? I purchased my first nugget today (2.68 grams)....i have always been into bars and coins, but I could see myself getting hooked on nuggets! (eventhough they do command a high % over melt). Anyone pan or dredge for them?
Pics would be cool if you have some.

I tried once but with little luck. Found a few pickers but nothing over half a gram.

I have a little gold (literally - all three are 1.0 gr to 1.8 gr) Some silver (wire & crystal) and some gold and silver still in granite. Under a loop it is amazing!

I tried panning for gold here in Minnesota for the first time last summer. There is some placer gold to be found in the southern part of the state, but all I managed to do was pan out some black sand...

Most nuggets on eBay are from rock hounds, so they are in little thumbnail cases like I have. I have found a lot of nuggets at coin stores and the 'we buy gold' stores. Go in and let them know you are interested in buying some nuggets and give them your number. Usually the send the nuggets to the refiner, so you can buy pretty close to melt.
