NFL Wild Card Weekend Predictions

My choices are the first team listed with points they are getting/giving.
Saturday January 8, 2011:
Seattle Seahawks (+10 1/2) vs New Orleans Saints
Runaway? Over matched? 7 wins on the season versus the defending Super Bowl Champions? Blown out earlier in the season? Sounds like this one should be 54-0 for New Orleans. I might take this as my upset special as I'm looking for Brees to struggle finding his receivers until late in the game and after chasing the lead all day, the Who Dat boys will pull out a tough one with two 4th quarter scores. I'm taking the Seahawks and the points and wouldn't be surprised if the Hawks win this outright: Saints 26, Seahawks 16!
------------------------------------------------------------
Indianapolis Colts (-2 1/2) vs New York Jets
Rex has promised a victory. Rex has never beaten Peyton. Something has to give.& I think Manning, with a bunch of nobodies catching his passes will give Rex fits. A late touchdown makes the score appear closer than the actual game: Colts 34, Jets 31!
------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday January 9, 2011:
Baltimore Ravens (-3) @ Kansas City Chiefs
The upstart and surprising Chiefs head into this game healthy. The Ravens, on the other hand, are a bit banged up. The Arrowhead crowd can be one of the most raucous in the league and the Chiefs have traditionally been stellar when a home dog. That being said, Ray Rice will be the difference. Flacco to Rice, Flacco to Boldin, Ravens win: Ravens 27, Chiefs 16!
------------------------------------------------------------
Green Bay Packers (+2 1/2) @ Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia has been dominating their opposition with speed, speed, speed. The Packers have been decimated by injuries so much so that they make the Colts look healthy! There is talk of Andy Reid finally winning a Super Bowl. There is talk of Vick playing in Atlanta. There is talk of redemption. Keep on talking and saying how healthy Vick's quad is. Too bad Aaron Rogers isn't listening. I'm all over Green Bay on this one: Packers 34, Eagles 20!

Also, I've got about half of that '76 Vending case on Auburn Monday!
<< <i>I'm with you on 3 of those 4. I took the Saints -10 in the other one.

I like Oregon outright in the game, but the over at 73 might be the play... Oregon 47, Auburn 34
I also think the Colts are going to DESTROY the Jets.....2 1/2 is definitely not enough......that is my big 10 Star playoff blowout!!! So to recap, take the Hawks plus the 10 and the hook, and take the Colts laying the deuce and the hook. I'll be back tomorrow with more winners.....
Baltimore ---- 20
New Orleans - 31
Seattle ------- 20
Green Bay --- 23
Philadelphia - 20
New York ---- 27

You're getting +1500 on the moneyline? Please point me to that casino.
<< <i>if I was in Vegas, I would put a $100 on Seattle outright to win $1,500, and I am definitely taking the points

HAHAHAHAHA ... If you can get Seattle +$1,500 you should bet $20,000.00 on them. Then go to Vegas where the REAL line is NO -500 and put $200,000.00 on NO.
NO wins you profit $20,000.00.
Seattle wins you profit $100,000.00
If there were lines like the one you mentioned you would never have to work another day in your life. LOL

<< <i>What was it then if you think I am too far off? A 10 1/2 point dog? What would the money line be then??? You are laughing at me now, but you see what them Hawks are doing, hello??? Bueller???? Dang, it sure is quiet in here! >>
Quiet? I'm rooting for Seattle as well. But the money line was +400 ... NOT +1500
PS WHAT a 4th down stop by Seattle!

And it looks like now the Saints may be coming back now anyway to make that bet a moot point..

<< <i>There's a big difference between winning 425 and winning 1500, obviously...

A cover is fine. A straight out win is glorious...
Agreed if you put the majority of your bet on the former...

And one would be a moron to do it otherwise. It was actually a secondary wager after the dimes were already dropped, but IF it hits, it will pay nearly as much as the line wager.
I try not assume anything on the boards, these days, LOL..

Scott,
Seeing as how well your doing so far, I sure would feel a lot safer if you had taken the Chiefs!!!!

I split and even called the shot for the Seahawks upset. I'll be 2-0 tomorrow.
However, both picks had the wrong team winning and I hope the 4th pick is just as wrong.
Eagles 27
Packers 21
Me on the left, long after the game was over
Take the Jets with the points at NE if you want a chance to pick all 4 games correctly..

This week:
Seatle continues its upsetting ways and wins outright in Chicago!
NE doesnt even break a sweat over the Jets in a blowout again!!!
Pittsburg pulls another tuff one out by less than three points over the Ravens in the last minutes/seconds!
Falcons bury GB in their home in a blowout!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you're as right about GB this weekend as you were about them for yesterday's game.
