Unfortunately I was not the recipient of such good fortune.
I was second in line.
My client was lucky enough to buy 10 rolls of Canadian pre-1966 silver quarters from his bank teller for $10 each!!
His total investment was $100.
I'm the buyer who'ssecond in line, as I paid him $1350 (80% of spot) for them.
He's happy, I'm happy and the bank teller is still in the dark.
He said he was going to go back and give the bank teller $100, but I said 'don't".
Even though it's a wonderful gesture, I said "if you do, it'll be the last time you ever get a call from her again".

<< <i>He should give the $100 to you for purchasing the lot for actual melt. In many cases, you can purchase Canadian for below melt. >>
Not necessary.
I learned long ago that whatever price my seller paid for his coins is no business of mine.
He could pay $1 or $1000, it doesn't matter.
What matters is if $1350 for $100 of Canadian silver is worth it to me.
And yes it is.
I can get 90% anytime for it, which is $1530, so I'm fine with that.
I'm not intending to flip it though.
I'm buying silver for the long run and I figure I just bought 60 ounces of silver for $22.50 an ounce.

They are circulated and sold as regular currency? Banks don't know any better?
