$20 for a 2011 Clad Half! The Mint has Lost Touch With Reality This Year.

The Mint prices this year defy logic.

For example:
It costs them roughly 7.3 cents to make a quarter. The Fed gives them 25 cents each, nice sieinorage.
It is very hard to find an ATB quarter, so paying $35.95 for a 100 coin bag ($25 face) in 2010 was livable. It was $32.95 in 2009.
For 2011 the price has gone up to $49.95. It went up $14, almost 40%. What could possibly justify that increase?

Medal prices have risen MORE than %100.

The Commemorative CLAD Half Dollars will be priced as follows:
50c Clad Proof - Introductory Price = $17.95, Regular Price = $21.95
50c Clad Uncirculated - Introductory Price = $15.95, Regular Price = $19.95
Granted, the surcharge is $5, but I still think it is too high.

$60 regular price for the silver dollar?

They are really going to be driving people away. They are blowing it. Really blowing it.
