1952 Bowman baseball print line on along edges?

I was curious if print lines along the edge of 1952 Bowmans were common?
I'm only familiar with 1951 Bowmans and have never noticed one with the line.
The 1952 Gil Hodges i'm referencing has this line along the top edge, varies from very thin to thicker diameter but consistent as one straight line.
Scan does not show very well but here is the card:

I've run across several cards that had that line during the course of building my set, and I would assume that those lines were either used to help align the sheets during the cutting process, or to align the dies during the printing process.
I'm also guessing that the cards with those lines were most likely on the outer edges of the sheets as well - but I have never seen an uncut 52 Bowman sheet to verify that.
Hope this helps!
