the silver 1 oz maple privy coins seem like a good investment

the mintages on some 26,000 or less

Comments

  • Some of the Zodiac Silver Maple's have mintages of just 5000

This is not my coin or certificate. Very low mintage bullion item, and attractive.image

I've got a sealed monster box of these (2008) and about 10 loose 25 coin tubes:

Unfortunately all silver maples are notorious for spotting problems, much worse than the ASE.

Yea I have a few of the dragon privy silver maples. All are still good but one had the plastic think it was sealed in split and so now it has a slight bit of tarnish on it. :/

    Still a good stuff though.

Apparently all silver maples contain one full troy ounce of Ag. In contrast, American Silver Eagles actually have a tiny amount less than one troy ounce, 0.00078 less, or stated in reverse, the Ag content of an ASE is 0.99922 t.o. (my calculation).

Whether or not they are a good investment depends on how much of a premium over melt you have to pay to buy them and how the price of silver does.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
