A good deal, I think (for Pats fans)

I don't buy a lot cards these days and I generally don't like the "bandaid" auto cards, but I thought this was too good of a deal to pass up. Especially if these two rookies keep up what they're doing for a few more years. What do you think?

Rookie Tightends

I think it's a bad buy to be honest. Tight ends are not a glory position and aren't going to command huge money like a quarterback or running back. Plus if both stay in New England, do you realistically think they are going to have great stats, which is a big factor to consider.

I just did a completed items search and found an albeit ugly card, but it had both Kellen Winslow Sr. and Tony Gonzalez dual auto card, two of the best ever at that position, sold for $16.50. How much better must either of those guys be to surpass that price point and make any money in the future?

Not trying to be a downer, but it's an honest answer to your question.

edited to add the Winslow/Gonzalez was an auto card

Yeah, I guess you have something there. It's not like these guys are QBs or RBs. Still, I thought it was refreshing to pick up 3 auto rookie cards plus two throw-ins for this price.

Great buy whoever got it. image

It really amazes me how low Gonzalez goes at times.

I think they were a good buy if flipping. I would list them to end during the Colts-Chiefs AFC Championship Game.

I think it was OK considering they have a great chance each year at winning a super bowl and the person who throws to them is Tom Brady. (someone who throws for a lot of yards) Plus I think Aaron Hernandez broke the record for rookie tight ends for the Patriots this year for I belive it was yardage.

Seems like a good buy to me but what do I know? I stopped buying football rookies after Curtis Ennis & Cade McNown. Anyone want any?
