Is there a need for concern when an Ebay seller describes the card as "Authentic"?

Maybe grading and all that goes along with it has caused me to be over sensitive. Authentic to 99% of the world is just another way to say "it's real". But when I hear it all I can think is the card was ungradable due to some problem!
