Poppage and it is Awesome! SCAN ADDED 1/14

Submitted 49 1964-1969 baseball along with a couple 1973's and got 25 9's. Cards waited awhile before they were longed in but then were graded within a week. Thrilled with the 1964 NL HR Leaders which got a 9, the 1967 Yaz which got a 9 (thought it might get an 8 because of a rough cut on the bottom edge, otherwise a beauty!), and the 1969 Brock in PSA 8. This is a real tough card to get in 8 or better and this one has near perfect centering which is even tougher. A lot of these will soon be added to my set registry. Will sleep well tonight.

Congrats on your grades. Where did these cards come from?

1964 NL HR Leaders which got a 9, the 1967 Yaz which got a 9 and the 1969 Brock in PSA 8. These three should get you $1,500 - $2,000. very nice!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Thanks for the encouragement! Most of the 1964's,1965's and 1967's I have had for 20 years. I used to buy only by the nicest condition cards, even before grading became popular. You could buy NM-MINT to MINT vintage cards at leass than book value back in the early to mid 1990's because so many collectors and dealers concentrated on all the modern stuff. In fact, I used to trade new cards (modern) for old cards (vintage) all the time. Dealers would be able to turn the new cards over very quickly but would have to be patient to get their investment from older material. Most of those types of dealers are now long gone. I do remember picking up the 1969 Brock at the Cleveland National a couple years ago for about $10. I don't think the dealer realized how difficult that card is to get in high grade, centered condition. And actually picked up many of the 1969's at this year's National in Baltimore. I paid book prices and took a chance some would get 9's. The two 1973's I recently got on Ebay. They looked like they had a chance at 9's from the scans but buying raw cards on Ebay is always a risk. I will make a few bucks if I sell them so it was worth the risk, even though they didn't get 9's. I will try to do a scan or two when they arrive, but I seem to always have trouble putting scans on my posts, especially controlling the size.

Sorry, no PSA grader acquaintances, but I think I got the "Grader of Love" this time instead of the Grader of Death who has haunted me more than once.

Fantastic sub. Congrats!! Love hearing that the '69 Lou Brock was bought for $10 raw. Back in the early 90's, the hobby was the best.

Here is a scan of the 1969 PSA 8 Brock that several have asked for. I might just sell it so if anyone has a good perspective on a BIN price or an auction reserve please let me know.
