If the Hoosiers pull it off, think about what a sports year it will have been.
The Diamondbacks pull off the impossible by beating the Yankees, and, even more impressively, Mendoza.
The Patriots, in a time were everyone is a Patriot, beat the juggernaut Rams.
If Indiana wins, I will say with a wet eye that this has been the greatest year of sports in my 23 years. Can anyone think of a better one?
