1.) The Mint is changing (reducing) the Diameters of the units next year~! These are gonna be Rare!
2.) I like big thick Coins
3.) Dan Carr can't press any Bullion that Big, so I have no choice.
4.) Saves having to carrying around 70 Mercury Dimes when I can carry a Puck, instead!
5.) The Guys on HSN have turned me into a Puck Zombie, so I went to EBay and ended the obsession, instead.

1) They're big but not thick.
2) They're low relief and unattractive.
3) The 2011 coin will be minted in smaller numbers (FWIW).
4) They're severely overpriced.
5) There are better bullion values.
Anyone want to add to this list?
Lance.
No point!!!
If you can pick up a set at a reasonable price (ie, from an AP) you can't go wrong. The big word at this point is "IF."

For the Proofs, that's a GIVEN for me, ol' COINBOY IS going to get some of those sets too.
Don't think I'll be flippin' those Proofs on this go around.
Good luck in obtaining one from an AP. I am still trying.

Run away, run away....I and others on the big puck thread have become puck addicts. It's very insidious yet time consuming and frustrating. The whole story is one big, twisted numismatic soap opera. Save yourself. RUN AWAY :-)

Please elaborate on number 3. The future mintage is supposed to be much higher. This is right from The Mint (unless you're referring to the 2010 dated numismatic verstion which is to - supposedly - be sold in 2011, in which case you're correct.)

The Numismatic versions won't be proof. They'll have a sort of sandblasted finish.
How many 2008 W with Reverse of 2007 W Silver $1 did they make??
44,000 units.
On EBay right now, $360 each~ raw and about $400 Graded!
There are ONLY 33,000 of Each of these ATB units.
- 3" Diameter this year going to 2" 1/2 Diameter next year.
This is by far an out of the park, no-brainer.
