1857-S $20 double eagle MS details FSHO REDUCED!

An absolutely gorgeous coin with a really nice strike and booming luster, BUT... (and there's always a but image )

...I suspect the coin was "enhanced", for lack of a better word, many many years ago. The face is simply too smooth and unblemished but has hints of circular brushing under indirect light. Some of the same brush strokes in the fields on the obverse. The reverse looks very good, with cartwheel luster and a very solid strike.

I'm saying conservatively MS details, but rock bottom priced at net XF-40 so you're happy with your purchase. PCGS shows the XF-40 value at $1900 with a bullet. An MS piece would set you back $2500 to $3000 or more.

I've imaged it as well as I could to display the brush strokes in different views and lights. I'll be happy to take additional shots if you like.

What are you waiting for? It's 160-year old GOLD RUSH gold!! If you missed your chance or can't afford an SS Central America 1857-S $20 gold piece, here's your chance to pick up the same year for a fraction of the price. Pocket piece it, put it in your Dansco, or just consider it a bargain historical bullion play.

Asking $1776 REDUCED!!! Until 12:00 central time Wednesday $1660!!! with a 10 day money back if you don't think this is the nicest piece of XF gold you've ever owned.
