B&M Shops in Denver?

I'll be in Denver Wed afternoon, my first time through there, and am wondering if anyone had recommendations of coin shops to check out? I love the older, cluttered, well-worn and well-decorated shops best. I am looking primarily for BU Rolls of Lincoln Wheat Cents, Varieties, Straits Settlements / Malaya / British North Borneo / Sarawak coins and currency, Numismatic ephemera and decor, etc. I arranged a morning meeting in Ft Collins, with a 7PM flight, so I have a few hours to look around. Anything else I should not miss in the city (does the mint have a tour or museum)? Thanks...Ray

There is a decent little shop on Main st. (hwy 287) in Longmont. I bought a nice 20 cent piece there a few years back.
Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions

Excellent, I'll look them up. Now that I look at the map I see Longmont is on my way to Denver from Ft Collins, and I could also go through Boulder. So I will expand my question to include any town along that path from Longmont through Boulder then to Denver. I'm gonna have a nice afternoon drive!

  • There are some good shops on south broadway (just north of I-25 and broadway) in Denver, Chamberlain coins in Longmont is a good stop (awesome owner), the mint does tours on reservation I believe.

If you get a chance to visit Colorado Springs (90 minutes south of Denver), then be sure to stop at Hallenbeck's on Nevada (close to the ANA headquarters). Great shop with a friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Rocky Mountain Coins [plus one or two other smaller shops in the same block] is located on South Broadway north of the I-25 overcross, probably closer to Alameda than it is to I-25. It is fairly large and has a wide selection of stuff. You can Googel the name for specific information.

If you have some free time to kill in Denver, you could check out the State Capital [tours are given I think] and the Mint [do not know if tours are given there].
