FUN breakfast???

Last year a number of us met in Orlando met before the show and had breakfat, it would be nice to do it again. Does anyone know enough about the venue in Tampa to suggest a nearby stop to eat???

I'm available that Thursday and Friday, but I don't know the area so I can't recommend a place near the convention center.

Hopefully someone can pipe in who's familiar enough with the area

I live in the area. I will research a breakfast spot...right now the best place I know is a 10 minute drive away...I will do my darndest to find a closer spot and report later tonight. I would be a happy participant about 9am on Friday if everyone can wait that late...otherwise I will just be happy to suggest a spot. Edit to Add: I can participate earlier on Saturday morning.

Having never been to Tampa other than to a Red Sox / Rays Baseball game
I have no clue as to where we could meet for breakfast.

Holsonbake's crew is staying at the Marriott - and they have a restaurant.

No tailgating for me.

.83 Miles Away from the Convention Center (3 minutes by Car...possible to walk if looking for exercise and not carrying valuables)
Courtyard Cafe - Mariot

.97 Miles Away from Convention Center (5 minutes by Car)
Einstein Bros Bagels (Option D) on the University of Tampa Campus (3-5 minutes away from the Convention Center)

3.42 Miles Away from the Convention Center (10 minutes by Car)
Village Inn, Just Outside of the Downtown Area

Not a lot of good options within the downtown area.
Coming into the downtown area from different areas is another story though....but you are looking at close to a 10 minute car ride.

It's confusing and very difficult cruising around this part of downtown Tampa. Perhaps your suggestion of dining at the Marriott is a good one, It is right across the street from the convention center.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot of interest. In any event I am going to try and be in the Marriot cafe around 8am on Thursday, I hope to see some familiar faces. For those who don't know me I am the guy in shorts (weather permitting)with the little LL Bean valise who doesn't put it down.
