OPINIONS/CONCERNS on this card appreciated..

Hello everyone & Happy New Year.
A person who know a gentleman I have bought some cards off of the past 6 months gave me a call about this Ryan rookie ( see scans sent ). Seems letters in rookie stars are solid colors as well as back yellow being solid also ( which seems correct ).
Not sure of any other give aways on counterfeiting of this card.
Any opinions or concerns on the scans would be appreciated so I can key in on them when I see the card in person tomorrow.
Thanks again for any time & comments given.
Best wishes,
BEJ....

leave the cover of your scanner up so it has a black background. Then crop the card so the photo is larger. Much too difficult to tell from that scan.
  • Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately this is the scan the guy sent & I was just able to save it as sent.

    Thanks Sean for your efforts.
I went back in cropped & took to 145% & save the copy but when I reposted front ,this is what I got.
  • Did you click "done" after cropping?

The OP just said that this was the scan he was sent by the seller. He didnt scan this himself.

BEJ, I would definitely request for a better scan...cover up, cropped

May be just the scans, but details look fuzzy (i.e., rescreened; i.e., counterfeit) to me. Check the black outlines on the "ROOKIES" and the frame line around the pictures. If they're solid black lines, that would be a good sign; if they're made up of tiny dots, that's the kiss of death.
  • Thanks for all the input guys. I will really look over all issues brought up when I see the card in person.
    Thanks again,

At first glance, I don't like the right edge when looking at the back. The left edge appears straight as compared with the black frame. The right edge however, appears to be angled, or "diamond-cut". This right edge is also the top edge when looking at the front of the card. To me anyway (and it could be the scan), the top edge from the front appears to be wavy.....both of these factors could indicate it's been trimmed.
