Not sure how it will grade but I really like this George VI Penny...

Not as easy as you might imagine since most of the coins in the older proof sets have pretty severe clouding or spotting
and removing any of it from a copper coin is skirting disaster.

I'm pretty sure of a PR 65, hoping for better.

Which undoubtedly means PR 63 or 64 image

Dianne and I wish all of you a blessed and prosperous New Year.

Pretty coin, I love the toning on the obverse. I'd guess PR-63 because of the chatter on the King's cheek.

That is a nice looking proof penny. Too bad about the spot. PF64RB would be my guess, but it has a shot at getting a 5.

Thanks. You're probably right Bill; the tiny carbon spot that I hadn't really noticed until I posted the coin, will probably kill any PR 65 ambitions.

Aetheired I'm pretty sure that isn't chatter on George's cheek; rather an unfilled die and some toning streaks; even so you could well be right about PR 63 grade.

I'll post the grade when I get it......
