memory lane auction: topps magic/bird rc PSA 9

Hi everybody, I think this is my 3rd or 4th post since I registered a year ago. I have a question for you guys. I have a 1980 topps magic/bird rc PSA 9 that I want to put on auction. I did some search and see that memory lane auction has pretty good prices for this card. Who here uses memory lane? The concensus here is that memory lane is not as good as goodwin right?

I have used Memory Lane. The prices I got were nothing to write home about. As a matter of fact, I think I set a record low for one card I sold (paid $1,400, sold for $800). Memory Lane used to get high prices around 2005-2008. Bear in mind, their comission rate has gone up (19%), and most bidders factor in the comission rate when bidding on a card.
  • Your getting very good advise via the previous posts. I think you would do just as good with this card, listing it for sale via the BST boards on this site, once you factor in the commision's that will be taken from you for this card. I recently sold a PSA 9 via Brent Huigens of PWCC and did very well, and didnt pay anywhere near the same fees that you will pay via the auction house. As for the house's themselves, I prefer Memory Lane to Goodwin personally, and think you will realize the same amount if not higher using ML. I also agree with Bobby above me, that most factor in the 19% buyer premium when bidding on cards such as this. Good Luck, whatever you decide.

    Welcome to the boards!
  • I might be interested in the card. Does it have the small black line near the bottom right edge? Can you provide a scan?
