1965 World Series ashtray

I am not an expert or pro at collecting sports memorabilia , but i love collecting.
I have a 1965 World Series ashtray that I got for my birthday. I don't know how much this is worth. It has one little chip in it thats noticable unless you look into it hard.
it is by Red Wing Pottery.
Does any one have an answer to how much this is worth?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • I am new. how do i upload the picture from my computer?

You almost had it. Next time paste the address in the frame looking icon/link, rather then on the "http chain" links.

    Welcome to the boards.

PS: Nevermind, guess you figured it out.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • Neat item. Does it have any copyright info...meaning is it licensed?

Have no ideal it's value, however the other month I bought out an entire estate, and tossed 60% of it, including a dozen of those giant 60s ashtraps (not sports related). I am sure they will be highly collectible one day.

  • Considering how collectible Red Wing pottery is, it's a nice piece but the chip is a downer. I have inlaws that live in RW and that's what they always say about their RW pottery. They have heard stories from people who used to haul giant pieces to the dump and smash them up many years ago, reminds me of those cases of 52s going overboard--what a waste.
  • In perfect condition this piece is worth around $150.00. With a chip it is worth considerably less. Red Wing made 3 pieces related to the Twins in 1965. This is the easiest of the three to obtain. I hope this helps.
Always looking to buy old Minnesota Twins and Vikings memorabilia like Nodders, Photo Pennants, and Photo Buttons.

Sweet piece! I've never seen one before. I was raised in Fairmont, MN, not real far from RW.

I've got a Twins ashtray packed away somewhere. It's not pottery, just glass...
