Should I be worried????

I sent a platinum eagle insured with sig. con. on the 22nd and it still says "shipping info received". Should I be worried? I don't think insurance will work if it doesn't show that they have it.

The 22nd of December? If so, far too early to be worried.

Yep, too soon to be worried.

On the other hand, I have one that's been stuck at "out for delivery" since the 15th. I am worried.

For about the last ten days the mail system has been saturated. Things I mailed last month that took two days to arrive have been taking five to seven working days lately. And if you sent it registered then it might get there sometime in January.

maybe more, during the last three weeks.

I always, and I really mean always, make sure it is scanned before I walk away from the counter. Everything is behind the last few weeks especially. Registered mail is really slow, even more than usual. I think you have to wait at least 15 days with registered and 30 with other USPS mailing services before you can even file a claim. Could be wrong, but I think that's it. Good luck.

I just received a Fed Ex priority overnight packgage this morning that had been sent out last Wednesday.

It got to within 2 miles of me by Thursday morning, but then for some reason just sat there for 2 days with no delivery attempts.

I figure if Fed Ex is no better than USPS, why bother?
