Just for giggles, I'm starting a raw Dansco set of Barber halves; specifically coins around the VG grade.
I'm seeking original grey circs with decent eye appeal for the grade and at least some partial lettering in LIBERTY, full rims both sides, and no cleaning or problems.
(I paid $300 for it, which might be too much, but then again, if it's really a Charlotte coin, maybe not. I probably couldn't sell it for $300, but maybe somebody might wanna swap some VG Barber halves for it, who knows.)
Rob, I sure wish I could help you out. VG Barber halves is really how I got the 'bug' for collecting again. I had an almost complete VG set, when the VF-XF bug hit. I had all circCams except for the 93o in VG (never really found one I liked). I sold them to raise $ for the upgrades. You'll have a lot of fun and easier on the pocketbook than AU commems.

Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.

My previously forum-discussed holey 1851-C gold dollar is potentially up for trade.
