Buffalo, World Juniors help

Heading down to a couple of World Junior Hockey games over the holiday period and wondered if anybody here is from Buffalo. Will be staying in NF (Canadian side) but looking for restaurant and parking advice around the HSBC Arena.

Thanks. Eyebone

Not too familiar with the Canadian side of things, but there is plenty of parking right around the HSBC arena (as well as a casino within walking distance). Great event Monday afternoon that you may want to consider; Hockey Towne USA Fan Fest. Admission is $5 and I believe the autographs (French Connection :Gil Perreault, Rick Martin and Rene Robert) are free...this is at the Buffalo Convention Center (also downtown).

URL to the event sponsor hockeytowneusa!

  • Hey I'm from Buffalo. Check out Gabriel's Gate on 148 Allen Street. Its pretty close to the stadium. Best wings in Buffalo in my opinion. On the way down to the arena on Washington Street there is plenty of parking. I suggest one of the ramps a bit further from the stadium.

I can also vouch for Gabriel's Gate for wings. People will tell you Anchor Bar, but it's all stigma. And the best wings I have ever had are at Honey's in Niagara Falls, NY. Pearl Street is an okay place to hang-out for drinks that is semi-close to HSBC Arena. Food is meh, but good good drinks and atmosphere aplenty.
