RYK gave me an idea, lets play if you will guess the price guide if there were one!

Here are three coins for which no price guide exists, lets playguess what these three should be valued at:
1827 10c JR-1 MS64 NGC

1825 10c JR-2 F-15 PCGS

Undated 50c S AU58 PCGS

Feliz Navidad!
<< <i>I see 70 cents?
I see $1.20 and Two Heads
Not to mention the "uniqueness" of her...
A lot of money
Merry Christmas Realone
<< <i>In a ll seriousness my point is that how do you value a coin where no price guides exist and there are only one auction price from approx 10 years ago for 2 of the 3. Yet dealer's will price these, but based on what? Pretty thinly traded. >>
Realone, you know it's all about DEMAND and POPULARITY. Uniqueness and pedigree help, but the first two stand the test of time.
If a collector wants a unique coin bad enough, he/she will poney up to buy it.
OR, the owner can ask for stronger money which may not EVER find a buyer.
Does this mean that the owner of said coin is outpricing the market? Not necessarily, it's just that he values the coin greater than anyone else!
Price guides are essentially worthless - is there one for the art market?

These are very cool coins!
<< <i>i would guess as a trio - more then 100,000 $ >>
I woulda guessed more like $20,000 - as a set. I guess that proves the point of the OP

<< <i>I'd pay $1,000 for the two side Barber Half >>
$1,000 Face value in Gold Buffalo .9999 ... more like it.
I could see the Half going for 20K by itself to a well
heeled collector.
Realone - you're thinking of selling, huh ??
