A new way to store graded cards *Pictures added*

The other day me and some of my buddies had a crave for some white castle. We bought the "Crave Case" and once they were gone I was getting ready to pitch the box when I realized that it could serve a better pupose.

I don't have a camera here (my son borrowed it) but it kind of looks like a cardboard suitcase, it even has handles to carry it. I am using it to store cards in as the boxes should stack pretty good. (I let it air out for a few days so my stuff wouldn't smell like onions) image

I didn't count, but it will probably hold about 70 or 80 graded cards.

So the next time you have a crave keep the box image

EDIT- I just counted and it can hold 123 cards snuggly.

The first picture is 100 graded cards stored loose enough that I can "thumb" through them. I have a second box that I am going to use to store my Card Savers and other supplies in.

The box is wide enough to hold 3 rows of card saver 1's perfectly.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I am pretty sure the smell is gone. It passed the dog sniff test, I put the box on the floor and my dog ignored it...lol

Great idea; I'm even sure if you asked that they would give you an unused box for free (then you don't have to worry about the odor)

That sure beats the happy meal boxes I've been storing my collection of T3's in.
  • Please let us know if the slider grease penetrates the slabs and if so, do the cards swell....

That's actually a really good idea.

I don't eat White Castle (or fast food) but my parents do. I will keep an eye out for one of these boxes even though I don't have nearly the amount of graded cards to fit inside.

    Thanks for sharing image

Back in the good ole days White Castle and Jack in the Box were the only fast food places that were open 24 hours per day. (For you kids, I'm talking about the late 70s ... LOL). White Castle used to be THE PLACE to go to after the bar closed at 4:00 am. I was probably well into my 30s before I ate a White Castle when I was NOT drunk! LOL

Not a bad idea for storage ... but I would do it ONLY if I was able to get one that was unused.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all you great guys on the board!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
