I really like that coin... PCGS Price Guide in MS67+ is $450... asking price for toned coin w/green bean is $5900. So in this case, the toning is worth 1300% of Price Guide. image Have we all gone mad?

I think the price is at the level that it is because of how much a PCGS MS68 sells for. This price is not for the toning.

    You're making me think image

    MS67 $200, MS67+ $450 and MS68 $16,500

    MS67 (1,495), MS67+ (5) and MS68 (8)

So the total population for MS67+ or greater is 13. I guess $5,900 may be more for condition rarity than toning. You win this round! image

They get some nice pieces, but they seem to ask a lot for pieces that aren't quite there, nice color but at a monster color price.

Everyone would call it a bargain if it was listed on the Legen....ahhh never mind.

No, just the seller and whoever buys it at that price.

I have no doubt there's a buyer for that coin at that price. I just can't justify paying that much. It is pretty though.

Lawrence often has a mixed bag. Some really nice stuff, some so so. I have made several purchases over the years. Never a bad experience.
This is a nice buff, but far overpriced, IMHO.
