Was PSA receiving ANY shipments this week?

..the reason I ask....I did a group sub for the mid range years under the current PSA group special. I sent the parcel Priority Mail, and sent it Registered due to the value of the contents inside. That was on the 15th. I know Registered Mail slows things down, but I thought sending it Priority Mail would speed it up to counterbalance it a little, and believed they should have received it by now. Any insight?

I sent in an order on Monday using priority mail and it was received yesterday by PSA in the AM. It took less than two days to go over 2000 miles. So I can say that PSA was accepting packages yesterday (Wed.).

Cool....thanks Rich!! Mine was registered and insured for quite a bit of money that I am sure the Post Office does NOT want to pay out.....

Priority mail won't speed up the delivery of registered mail. Registered travels at its own pace.

I don't think there is any logic in sending a package priority & registered.

What KB said and FWIW once you get over a certain weight one must use priority mail/registered.

What that basically means is that you have to pay the PM rate instead of the 1st class mail rate.

.....or at least that is how it used to be.

    Good for you.

Registered can add up to another week just for the amount of time a package could be locked up in a secured area until they are ready to process it, even if you a separated from N.B. by a single freeway.....been there, done that.....wouldn't worry too much Bobby, it'll probably turn up in Coppell. image

Registered mail is overrated. Send it 1st class in a sturdy box with packing material and insure for full value. I used to think all packages going to PSA had to be registered. I remember sending a couple cards registered.image

Registered may be overkill for some things but it's not overrated. It's actually cheaper on higher value shipments due to lower cost to insure registered mail. The insurance is cheaper because claims are rare.

The only time i ship registered is international. Its a waste of time and money otherwise. First class is also just as fast as priority from my experiences and cheaper than priority.

this is true. there is an amount of insurance that makes it cheaper to go registered.

The only problem with that is if the item weighs over 13 oz, it has to be sent Priority mail.

Or Parcel post. The cost difference is 5 Cents.

    Registered mail has its uses.
