Agreed. Most companies that compete at the top of an industry will have leaders that respect each other. May not like each other, but respect each other. Especially when it's two companies that pretty much built the industry.

I suspect outside influences cause more harm than internal disputes... it's a shame that collector clubs vie PCGS and NGC against each other. I think both NGC and PCGS should boycott the ANA and PNG when they ask NGC and/or PCGS to pay them to be their official graders. To me, it is the definition of a conflict of interest.
Definitely a little strange that they are restricting crossovers to only PCGS holdered coins - To not even allow ANACS and ICG for crossover is a bit absurd to me ... and frankly I don't exactly know of many people even looking to cross PCGS to NGC - virtually any collector I'm familiar with is going the other way around.
No crossovers from any holders other than PCGS? That's pretty big! I bet the prices of coins in ANACS holders is going to be effected. At least they are lowering shipping and still offering combined shipping.
All coins kept in bank vaults. PCGS Registries Box of 20 SeaEagleCoins: 11/14/54-4/5/12. Miss you Larry!
<< <i>The big news to me in the NGC announcement is crossovers will be restricted to PCGS coins. Folks with ANACS and other coins are in a squeeze now. . >>
Wow, that is BS. PCGS has crossed many ANACS coins that I have submitted. I may make an appearance ATS to complain!

<< <i>Think PCGS will follow suit? >>
NGC is following suit from PCGS raising fees 4 years ago.
PCGS just announced that dealer fees for 2011 will be unchanged from 2010. Don't know about fees for non-dealers, though.

Would like to know the rationale behind that. That's going to have to eat some of their business, no?

Yeah, you would think. And there are far more NGC to PCGS crossovers than vice versa.
