What's going on with the rims on this 85-P Jefferson?

I noticed there was something going on with the rim on this Jefferson when I pulled it from my change yesterday. I assume that it is nothing of note but wanted to get your opinion before it went into the change jar. I couldn't find any known varieties on Coneca for this date. Thanks.

be a minor 'mis-aligned obv. die'.
The top/hammer die was very slightly
mis-aligned, and so the obv. strike has
a wider rim at one area, and no rim
opposite it....
Interesting, but very common....
More common on dimes than any other denomination in my experience, and least common on nickels.
<< <i>They are indeed fairly common, as I have a few! I think they are very cool though and save every one I find.

They are cool if found in very high grade. I was thinking, "out of collar" strike but it's not that. Mr Weinberg is right-on...misaligned strike.

And common for that year..have 3 or 4.
