Heritage's Make Offer to Owner - what a bad idea!

BarryBarry Posts: 10,100 ✭✭✭
In my email this morning, I got "$566 Offer on your 1828 10C Large Date VF35 ANACS. JR-2, R.3. A charcoal-gray..." from Heritage. I haven't owned this coin in 5 years. OK, it's my fault for not updating "My Collection." Actually, not. I've never used My Collection. Only coins in it are those bought through Heritage.
Seems to me there's going to be a lot of spam going out from them and a lot of people opting out of this new "feature."

Happened to me once on a coin I no longer owned. Fixed that right quick.

You can actually opt out of recieving offers. I like the my collection feature. Good way to keep track of things, and you can put stuff for sale from your collection for all to see. Heritage will charge a percentage if you sell something though.
All coins kept in bank vaults.

It's a numbers game. They send out enough of these emails and someone is going to bite. Man, that company sure does know how to use technology.
