Collecting Liberty Eagles ($10) - Type 2 or 3?
I notice that PCGS has 2 different sets listed in their Registry - Circulation Strikes (1838-1907) & Circulation Strikes (1866-1907).
Questions:
1. Is this purely because Type 2 coins are harder to locate?
2. Can you think why they didn't create the set "Circulation Strikes (1838-1865)" i.e. just Type 2.
I wonder if David Hall will read this thread and respond - his wife has the No. 1 set in both existing categories right?
