New member alert!!

Hello all,
I have been reading this board for quite awhile now. I was unable to post until I figured out I had to change my forum profile to "HTML". I could and did post a few "blank" postings. However I was unable to type any message text until I made the change. Maybe there are other new members with their tongue's cut off. If so, maybe this post will help.
I am a retired/disabled Railroader (3rd gen, my son and daughter are 4th gen). I started collecting coins around 10 years of age. Mostly circulated stuff, with the occasional purchase at the local coin shop. When my teens came I could have cared less about coins, but in the last 2 years I have got back into the fray. I collect U.S. Coins and Currency. My current focus is on Washington Quarters, both proof and circulation.
I also do a little model railroading on the side
I enjoy reading everyones post's and hope to contribute in the future.

P.S. - For you spelling Nazi's. I may have spelled "vengeance" incorrectly, but I was to lazy to check. Anyone got a spell checker for this board?

Spelling doesn't count here, despite what a few people think. If it's so bad that it can't be understood, we'll gladly harrass you until you get it right!
This is a great place to learn and share - enjoy!

A Washington Quarter for you. I tried to buy this one but it was gone by the time I contacted the dealer.

In this world of hi-tech, I have noticed that many who send text messages and e-mails have forgotten the "art" of capitalization.
Those of you who fall into this world, please take note of the statement below. I cannot stress enough that grammar is important:
Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off his horse or helping your uncle jack off his horse.
Please take note!

Had an uncle that was a conductor on passenger trains, he retired early 60's. He even had a cool old pocket watch.

I am a bit of a closet model railroader - only because the Lionel HO stuff I collect tends to sit in the closet and not on a layout. One of these days......
