Pls critique my progress - Photography thread

I think my lighting still needs work. The toners are so tough to get with all of color luster and focus.

Focus looks great. Only you can say if you captured the in hand look correctly. I think this is a nice image.

not a bad image, but you need some Tensor Lights strategically placed around the coin to show the surfaces better

I like the added dynamic of the tensor lights especially around the shadows, but last time i mixed lighting someone pointed it out right away and told me it was a no no. This shot was using 3 reveal bulbs @ 10, 2 and 6 o clock.( is it o- clocks when theres more than 1?)

nice pics. The lighting is concentrated from the sides of the coin and the resulting luster/color bands are from 11 to 1 and 5 to 7 o'clock. A light more from the top would help fill in the color on the sides.

Ya I agree but what makes it hard is a light from the top reflects off the slab unfortunately.

    coin tilted in the slab?

Move the bottom light around until the luster banc moves into those areas.

I think its a very good photo,
perhaps it could use a little sharpening?

From the picture I would buy or bid on the coin. It looks like a coin, not a cartoon.
