Capital Economics: Gold Going to $1,600 in 2011

Capital Economics is out with a bullish note on old yeller, saying they now forecast that the metal goes to $1,600 by the end of next year and 2,000 by the end of 2012. Gold is currently trading around $1,385:

    there's something weird about the chart. how gold has been moving up despite CPI numbers (which many here know are misleading at best but it's what is trumpeted)

    $1,600 gold next year wouldn't surprise me.

  • Just wondering if gold will ever be measured by grams on worldwide exchanges instead of ounces.
    Let's say gold hits that 2,100.00 per ounce level. Will they start showing $70/gram on kitco ? I doubt it, but
    it would be funny to see "gold shares split".
