PCGS Grading/Cert - How Long Does It Take?

I dropped 10 foreign coins in the less than 3k value category off at the PCGS table at the Baltimore show November 6, and no coins yet??Seems a bit long?

Mine took 126 days (from my ship date until they were back in my hands) once. image

    Good luck with your results.

That seems way to long to wait 126 days. ANACS usually took about 20 to 30 days and NGC aobut 40 days.

Well, Mac, I guess I should have no complaints...Some admittedly were a bit "esoteric". If I have your kind of results I will be happy!

JT, that is about what I thought too...

I sent in 60 coins to ANACS last month. They received on 11/22/2010 and the expected ship date is 1/03/2011 but they always ship couple days early than the expected date so I expect I will receive my coins by year end.

I have 2 orders at PCGS, one world economy and one secured plus. Both orders were submitted on Nov 22 at the Santa Clara Coins Expo. I received my world economy on Dec 9 (which is awesomely fast) but still wait for the secured plus!

Same here. I just called Customer Service and they said 40 working days for world coins. I guess that means 2011. image

That was a batch of Swiss coins back in 2003, IIRC.

    Data?

    I've got some sample data.

    Economy in 2009-2010:
Submissions: 12; Average: 33 calendar days; Standard Deviation: 12.8 days

Standard/free (treated as standard) in 2009-2010:
Submissions: 6; Average: 24 calendar days; Standard Deviation: 7.7 days

The special last quarter was done in 10 days.
