Other than saying it is definately ms, the picture is hard to see. Is that a scruff mark down over Vickies cheek? Is there a rim ding at about five o'clock? As I say, if the picture were sharper it might turn into a ms-66 or better. Any chance of getting better photos? How come the obverse side is not shown? Not an expert by any means, but I do have a lot of Canadian coins to compare to.

Looks like luster loss over Vick's cheek which is what I imagine you are asking about. That could do a lot of harm despite the fields being clean. I am not too worried about the edge though. I want to 62 it because of the cheek but would best be seen in hand as you always hear on these boards. It is that a tick or lint on the bottom of Vick's jaw?

The coin is a recent purchase and I don't have it 'in hand' yet.

I'm not sure about the surface lustre as this picture could be a scan and give the false appearance of a muted lustre. On the other hand it may de 'dull'.

There does appear to be a slight mark at the chin. I don't see any rim dings.

I am a little concerned about the 'line' on the cheek. It could be just a break in the lustre, a die break or possible a scratch of some sort.

I don't want to give any more details suffice it to say it's a rare date.

I paid a lot for it and I will do just fine as long as the coin grades at least an AU50.

If the coin is problem free, I feel confident it will get at least this grade.

I'm hoping for an AU58. (most likely going to ICCS).

Best of luck and I hope it goes well

Unable to offer a solid opinion, but I think worst case is AU and likely higher end at that

i suspect it even looks better in hand- 55 seems harsh

The pics show the coin to be MS, but in hand, there's a few circulation hit marks in the fields that make this AU.

However, I believe the coin should have graded AU58 and even at that grade, it's a very nice au58.

If I ever get around to selling this one, I won't be discounting it much.
