White Elephant: Have you ever given a coin?

Last night I was thinking about gifting a 2010 Proof $1 ASE as my White Elephant.

I opted against it and instead bought a veggie burrito from Chipotle and put a red bow on it.

A pregnant women won it.

I gift a lot of coins throughout the year. I'm still looking for that kid whose eyes light up... So I guess they have all been White Elephants.

I've bought a few odds and ends for random kids at coin shows, but never anything over $10.

Yes I give kids uncirculated sets or Silver eagles semi frequently. When I travel I usual carry a silver dollar with me and if anybody ever goes above in beyond in helping me when I get in a tight spot I give them my traveling Silver Eagle.

Recently gave a Chinese gal I know a Chinese Silver Panda and an American Eagle. I watched her crack both out and fondle the coins. Oh to be those coins.

I hand out pres $1, new quarters and cents in flips to friends kids and at the local school when they have an event I attend.

i rec'd a 1999 SAE, the painted type in a white elephant package.
had a heads up to pick it though

sold it a couple months ago, w/the paint removed, as bullion.
