I think these are neat. Does anyone know how many different dates they were made?

Just got off the phone with Gary at the NY Mint who told me they were struck in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009! That there's also a 5 oz gold.

I like em and am assembling a set of them in gold.

Here's a gold one

Now if you look at the designs on each date you'll see there's a slight difference in some of them, especially around the head and on the eagle. Some appear a little different despite having the same dates too.

A set of them in either metal I think is a neat little set of a proposed coin in precious metals and not at too high a premium.

I rather doubt George Morgan would approve of his incomplete design sketches being used to make these tokens, especially with Miss Liberty's back problems. But, they are public domain.

Pretty, both in silver and gold. But, did they purposely leave off the arrow feathers?

Seems incomplete without them. Different dies used for them as well.

See how this 2007 specimen is slightly different from the 2008 I posted above?

There's supposed to be a 5 ounce gold one. Does anyone here have one? Would you please show us an image? It's gotta be pretty neat at 5 ounces. I was told that the original plans called for a 5 oz example. I have no idea if that's correct or not.

I've never seen them before. Any idea why they didn't make them in 2010? I do note that their pricing is pretty healthy for most common Moderns.

I purchased a 5 oz silver version of this Morgan $100 Union pattern coin a few months ago. It lacks the words "One Hundred Dollars" that the 1 oz includes. I also got the 1 oz gold version of the coin, again, lacking the denomination designation. I appreciate the clarification on this board that these are simply bullion coins with an attractive and unique design. I don't expect to be looking to sell these any time soon - I bought them more as a store of value - but it's helpful to know that it is likely to take quite some time and a significant rise in the dollar value of the silver and gold content for me to be able to realize my investment in them, plus a decent profit.
