Need acrylic display case for signed basketball

Need acrylic display case for signed basketball
I need a UV acrylic display case for a signed, official game ball basketball.

I'm just looking for a basic acrylic case, no fancy deluxe or supreme show cases.

But here's the kicker, I want it to become a solid display that can be easily moved with out coming apart or the ball falling out.

I DONT want one that is basically a dome over a stand since this isn't a secure way to store & display it with being able to move it without it coming apart in two pieces.

Also UV acrylic is preferred and I'd also prefer the game ball to sit in the case tight and not roll around.

I'd look at the UltraPro website.

  • The ultra pros seem to be the dome over the base setups. It doesn't seem to become a solid state piece so you can easily move it around without it coming apart.
  • Probably easier if you get it made locally or buy something already put together.
  • It would be hard for me to get the ball in if I buy something already together...

  • I've always wondered about this with signed basketballs and footballs---
over time, does the ball deflate? Do you need to pump air into it, and, if so, how does that affect the signature?

It's one thing you dont have to worry about w/ baseballs.

Wonder what would happen with a Barry Bonds signed head

I would go to a hobby/craft store like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, et al. They have Acrylic basketball cases, and are usually selling them cheaply, as they are overstocked on them.

  • Yes the ball deflates, but it doesn't change shape unless squeezed. Autograph should not be affected.

Will it still deflate if it is sealed in a vacuum?

    Good for you.

Well that's good to hear. Once it's in a case and sealed shut it wot be opened again so squeezing it won't be an issue.

I'm going to have a local acrylic guy make me a case because I want the ball to sit in there tight since it will be sealed I won't be able to reposition it if it gets moved or jumbled around.

Daniel "boobie" Gibson from the cavs.

My friend and I put in 2 salt water fish tanks in his house and we maintain them. So I had him personalize an official game ball for my son who is 6 and has been to his house before.
