How long to receive an item from across the pond?

..I was just curious...if anyone ever won a card from overseas, and had it take an unusally long time to arrive?

Depends on the country. I have bought items from the following countries and the time it takes

Taiwan - 16 Days
Australia - 14 Days
England - 7 Days


It usually depends on the speed of THEIR postal service. Plus I think the security for overseas items is taking a little longer now due to the recent events.

it's a crap shoot, I believe Paypal gives you 60 days because of this, tracking is cheap in most asian countries, i would recommend it. small envelopes tend to be fast, anything large or odd size is slow. asian countries also have relatively cheap express services, i got a large item in 5 days going that route. like anything here if you need/want it fast pay the extra for faster service, if it's valuable insure it, breath easy until it's in your hands.

I bought an electronic item from China once for 99 cents plus free shipping and it showed up here in 5 days and I was shocked.
It also had Chinese stamps all over it, I think they paid more than $8 in postage.
Car charger still works great.

i buy cd's from europe and its usually 3-4 weeks. not too fast.

5 days to 6 weeks like someone else said it's a crap shoot.

I live in Germany and have purchased more than 20 items from the States. It usually ranges from about 10 -14 days to receive items.
