SHQs: Did anyone else ever buy the 1999-2000 combo $25 quarter bag?

I first got back into coins when my son was born in 2002. The wife and I decided to start with SHQs for him and I was getting them from circulation.
Then, I found the usenet forum for coin collecting. Then I found the USMint's website......

I bought a couple of these and, looking back, I would do it again. I really liked that, from a simple collector's standpoint, I was guaranteed at least 1 of each P&D release for the 2 years in UNC.
I wish they had continued this for the other years. Yes, it was ~$35 for the $25 worth (gotta add in shipping, so I added a few other things with my order (like the AL bags ), but, it made it easy to fill the holes with UNCs.

I was even able to help out a few YNs with the early releases a couple of years ago, thanks to what I had left in the bag.

So, anyone else admit to buying those bags?

Yes, I bought the bags. Only one I think.

bought a couple of those and i too wish the mint would have done that for the whole series. And the national parks the same, I have been doing the bags for a couple years and this winter i am going to start opening them up

Yes bought one. I think these were offered several years later I think in 04 or 05. I bought one and went through it already.

Yep...at least in 2003 I think.....I really wish they had continued them.
They could have made money doing it too....take some of the earlier ones that didn't sell and mix and match.
What year did Moy get in charge? Probably find it was the year they stopped doing cool things to help collectors.....

Do you remember the condition of the coins in the bag? I would think the coins would get beat up if there were any space for them to move around in the bag?

Nothing special. No high grade MS examples. Maybe in the 63-65 range.
