1993 Finest Refractor Promo Nolan Ryan Mislabeled?

Here's an auction that just ended for what I feel is a mislabeled Nolan Ryan 'Refractor' card. It went for big bucks, but could have went a lot higher if this was truly a rare Promo Refractor of Ryan. These cards (the Refractor versions) rarely come up for sale. Any Ryan experts have comments?

It's definitely mislabeled, the seller just got one past the graders, buyer will be very disappointed.

Not the refractor - to join the crowd here.

Would like to see an actual Ryan refractor promo - as it is the only promo out of the 3 that differs from its parallel in the Finest base set.

i was tracking this one thinking the same thing.
i am amazed at the price it went for.
somebody is going to be very disappointed.
i emailed the seller asking for clarification on the refractor title and some additioanl scans 3 times since last week.....nothing in return!

Someone is at it again. It just sold 2 weeks ago and now it's up again, with a ridiculous BIN of $19,999.00

Same cert number on the flip as the last sale. This is not the real PROMO Refractor no matter how hard this person tries to make it look like one with the camera flash.

Are we sure these are legit cards?

How many players were featured in the promo set? 1/5000 dont seem right to me.

--how many boxes per case did this product come?

I have my doubts about this one as well. The refracted portion only appears on the border (shiny part of the regular promo) and not the entire front of the card. Looks like some fancy light-work.

Look closer at the scrolling pictures and you can see the refractor finish on his hat, belt buckle area, etc.
