Buffalo Nickel Proof Book - need specimens

I am writing a Buffalo nickel proof book with Duane Blake

Goal is to have it done by June 2011.

Will cover the Buff mattes and the 36-37.

Need specimens to document and photograph the diagnostics.

Thanks

Just contact heritage galleries and ask for permission to use their photos from the archives.
The do not mind others using their photos as Ron Pope got permission to use them in his
abraded die book on the buffaloes.
It would be hard for you to beat their photos and you would have your pick of the best ones.
Just use the enlargements that you get on their site.
    good luck

    Hey Tom,

I have permission to use Heritage images, but they primarily have full photo shots,
I need to document and photograph all diagnostics which most require photographing through
    a microscope.

    Thanks

    Hi Tom,

Yeah, kinda got put on hold

Really need the coins to photograph all of the diagnostics.

Photos from Heritage are normally shot flat, and some of the diagnostics used for identification are extremely difficult to pick up there. Need to tilt the coin under a microscope to bounce the light off the side of the scratches and such.

Someday I will get this done.
