PCGS Paris submissions

We have just returned from another week of grading coins in Paris. The response from the numismatic community has been fantastic with dealers from across Europe submitting lots of very cool coins from around the World.

It is a real eye opener to see so many coins that, by American standards, are incredibly rare. On every grading trip to Paris high grade coins with productions of less than 20, and even coins that are unique, are being submitted for grading. Next week we will announce a couple of very rare coins that we graded this last trip.

I have to admit this has really opened my eyes up to World coin collecting and the opportunities therein. I can only imagine that sooner or later many of the coins we are seeing in Paris will become available to collectors around the world.

Good to hear it is going well

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

  • It's great news, Don, that PCGS is gaining more attention in Europe.

I still get headaches trying to figure out what a danged A/UNC is if it isn't simply a cop out from lack of
knowledge-or commitment-on the part of the seller.

And don't even START trying to make sense of the British grading scale image

    Best of luck.....
No,no- the kids and the cat are all right honey.
It's just that I got my PCGS grades.

I can't wait to see some of the slabbed coins mentioned!

Don, don't let everyone know about the underrated (compared to US coins) rarity and availability of World coins, we don't need any extra competition image. A lot of World coins have a long way to go to catch up on US coins but certain countries are booming like China for example. I think British coins also have some way to go.

Pakistan and India's economy's are starting to grow. With a high population, if the people making money decide to buy coins their coins will see a boom too. Like what is happening in China.
