1958-1960 Canadian COTY Sets

That was the title of an eBay auction I recently won. They all appear to be circulation strikes, and usually, most of the coins in these sets come hair-lined, but not this time. image

  • some really nice looking coins in those sets!!

got a question for you (and the crowd) - having looked at Canadian dimes before, my experience is that the dimes always tone more than the other coins in the sets - does anybody have an explanation for that?

Perhaps, because of their size, they fit deeper into cardboard coin albums/holders.
These came out of an album and they were wedged in there pretty deep.
