Do Darkside coins smell the same as Lightside coins?
If not, will the Sniffer get confused?

Maybe it depends what century were talking about....
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
I can't tell the difference between a "lightside" and a "darkside" coin that has been saturated by cigarette smoke (ack, gag!).
I imagine the sniffer will not be smelling the coins themselves, but will be programmed to smell out known altering agents.
Of course, Wybrit is correct in that cigarette smoke will destroy any natural scent a coin has. Luckily, metal doesn't hold the smell for very long, unlike paper, cloth or plastic...but especially paper.

And ironically, it was a stinker of a coin in more ways than just that.
I don't know, send me your best examples of both types and I'll let you know.
