New Purchase 1845 8 Reale from Houston Show

Houston is hosting it's largest coin show of the year this weekend. It presented a good opportunity to see a variety of world coin material. The show attracts a decent number of world and ancient coin dealers. I spent the day looking at inventory, meeting friends and forum members. Jeff, "JCM Houston" seems to always hunt out and find some great european pieces. It was not crowded which made it easy to take in the coins available and have a good chat with the various dealers. It seems like finding nice high end world coin material is getting touger or it may be I'm getting picky. I enjoyed meeting Cory and the crew at Mexican Coin Company and purchased a very nice 1845 Mexico City 8 Reales.

Overall, I enjoyed the show and look forward to returning tomorrow.

They have a good variety but their prices seem a bet strong, nice coin!

I bought quite a few from MCC as well. They get strong prices, but specialists always do since they set the market. The upside is they stock a lot of very nice material.
